The Florence Lions Club main focus is on vision and vision related problems. Our charity is responsible for screening the eyes of all the students in 13 schools in the Boone County School District. If a problem or deficiency is found, the results of the testing are sent to the parents. If there is a financial hardship and the proper testing or glasses cannot be purchased, we will assist the family in getting the services and glasses needed.

We also provided eye exams and glasses for many adults and seniors that cannot afford the proper eyewear or examinations. Each family that is helped through our organization must meet financial requirements as well as have a home visit by one of our Lions. We pride ourselves on helping the less fortunate in our community. In addition to our work with visually impaired persons we also support many local, national and international charities.
